Forum "Sustainable Blue Economy"

IPMA will participate today, October 4th, in the II edition of the Sustainable Blue Economy Investment Forum, taking place at the Estoril Congress Center from 2pm.
The initiative aims to debate economic growth driven by the Ocean economy and highlight the role of the financial sector in developing innovative and sustainable approaches. To this end, it will feature several national and international speakers who will share their vision on five major thematic areas: oceanic renewable energy and green shipping, blue bioeconomy, maritime digitalization, blue communities and marine protected areas.
IPMA's participation falls within the scope of the "Hub Azul Oeiras Mar" project, which aims to support the strengthening of the national scientific infrastructure to support the blue economy, through the integration of technological means, knowledge and innovation in the area of the sea and atmosphere.
The event also aims to identify actions and synergies between economic and financial agents around the sustainable blue economy, raising awareness of the importance of the Ocean as the main resource for life on the planet, guaranteeing the well-being of humanity and a fundamental asset for development sustainable economic.
