The new website for the PRR-Eólicas project is now online. The aim of the project is to provide detailed results on the geological and geotechnical conditions of offshore wind farm development areas off the Portuguese coast.
The project, run by IPMA, gathers information on offshore windfarms (OWF) that is essential for supporting the technological and financial decisions of future developers (private companies).
The site provides detailed and up-to-date information on the planning and execution of the project in its various phases, from desk studies to the acquisition and interpretation of new high-resolution geophysical data.
The ‘RP-C21-i07.01’ project is part of the *REPOWEREU* component of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), which aims to ‘support Portugal's ambitions in terms of energy independence and ecological transition, in the context of the new geopolitical and energy market situations.’
