Workshop on fisheries rare events

A Workshop on estimation of rare events (WKRARE) takes place between October 3 and 7, 2022 in IPMA bringing together scientists from the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) community.

The aim of this workshop will be to document, test and apply existing methods for estimating rare events, giving also space for improvements, discuss the outcomes of the different methodologies, and provide tools that can be used in the future.

The workshop is organized by ICES and has the contribution of the Division of Modelling and Management of Fisheries Resources (DivRP) of IPMA, in the context of “Programa Nacional de Amostragem Biológica” (PNAB) / Data Collection Framework in the scope of the Common Fisheries Policy.
