IPMA´s Pilot Fishing Station donate fishery

IPMA´s Pilot Fishing Station (EPPO) 2020-05-13 (IPMA)

May 18, 2020: the Olhão Pilot Fish Farming Station (EPPO), an IPMA´s infrastructure, donated an additional 465 kg of croakers to 7 IPSS: Centro Paroquial de Vaqueiros, Tavira; People's House - Moncarapacho, Olhão; Nossa Srª Fátima Social Welfare Center, Olhão; Portuguese Red Cross - Olhão Delegation; Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Tavira; Portuguese Red Cross - Tavira Delegation and Santo Estêvão Social Center, Tavira.

From the start of the Covid-19 pandemic to the present EPPO´s donated 5.8 tons of fish to a total of 22 private social solidarity institutions (IPSS) and the Bank Food Against Hunger - Algarve. In an articulation between scientific research and social solidarity, this support for the most needy has been provided by EPPO since 2013, so far it totals 33.4 tons of fish.

May, 4, 2020: EPPO donated 810 kg of croakers for 8 social solidarity institutions, namely Santa Casa da Misericórdia Moncarapacho, ACASO - Olhão, Social Welfare Center Nª Srª de Fátima-Olhão, AIPAR - Association for the Protection of Girls and Family-Faro, Refúgio Aboim Ascenção - Faro, Portuguese Red Cross - Delegation of Fuseta and Centro Paroquial de Cachopo-Tavira. At the moment, EPPO´s donations have totaled 4.2 tonnes since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
