EUMeTrain Marine Event Week November 5 to 9

From 5 to 9 November 2018 IPMA in the framework of EUMeTrain is running an event week on Marine Meteorology. This event targets forecasters and interested users in Marine Meteorology.

The online presentations will cover the following topics:

• Identification of potentially dangerous conditions over the ocean.
• Scatterometers and Altimeter products - advantages and limitations.
• Forecasting extreme weather conditions.
• Forecasting ocean waves.

Online sessions will be provided by experts from ECMWF, NOAA, KNMI, SMHI, IMO, Met. Norway, IPMA e EUMETSAT. The lectures will be broadcasted using the WebEx Training Center
platform and they are free of any costs.
