Storm naming

The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere - IPMA, the Spanish State Meteorological Agency - AEMET and Méteo-France agreed that some of the storms and cyclones would have a name, when they crossed the Atlantic Ocean and eventually the west of the Mediterranean Sea. This naming follows specific and agreed criteria between the three services, since the issuance of meteorological warnings is different from Country to Country.
In this context, the first meteorological service to hoist an orange and/or red warning of wind speed and/or gust during the passing of a storm or cyclone system will give the name to the storm/cyclone, being that after being named, they keep the name throughout their journey and until they are finished.
After an experimental period that took place during November, the system that was implemented on December 1 named the first storm, ANA.
The following names will be - BRUNO, CARMEN, DAVID and EMMA.
