New tweets in IPMA´s Twitter

Since the beginning February 2017 IPMA is tweeting (Twitter) summaries of the weather forecast for mainland Portugal: for the current day (in the early morning) and for the next day (during the afternoon).

The weather summaries are prepared by IPMA meteorologists responsible for operational weather watch and forecast. Summaries can be complemented naturally by descriptive forecasts in IPMA´s website and, also in IPMA´s APP, by weather forecasts for specific locations.

This information complements IPMA's tweets regarding the forest fire risk per municipality and earthquakes felt in Portugal.

This new operational development for Twitter is part of IPMA's plan for increasing information on social networks, with new developments being planned, that will be announced as soon as they are implemented.
