Seismic Activity in June 2012

During the month of June 2012, the seismic activity in the country and the adjacent area was characterized by the occurrence of more than 350 local and regional earthquakes, three of them having been felt by the population.
In the mainland region and adjacent area, it was found that most of the seismicity occurred south and southwest of the Algarve. The Azores registered moderate seismicity and no earthquake has been registered in Madeira Island.
