      Long data series

Within the scope of the portuguese government's open data policy, IPMA provides access to long series of data obtained from national meteorological stations.

The data sets available, with daily and monthly integration, are related to the parameters of air temperature, minimum, average and maximum, accumulated precipitation and atmospheric pressure at mean sea level, are the result of a collaboration between IPMA and IDL (institutions responsible for meteorological observations on Mainland, Islands and former colonies since 1855).

        More information

The use of data/information related with the climatological dataset (long series) will necessarily imply, according to the IPMA and IDL data availability policy, the reference to the source.

The data series relating to the Portuguese mainland was obtained using a number of approximately 50 stations.
