6th AZA4ICE Project Meeting

Between 20 and 22 October, the city of Olhão hosted the 6th meeting of the AZA4ICE Project, bringing together all partners with the aim of strengthening international cooperation and accelerating the adoption of sustainable and circular practices in the aquaculture sector.

Over three days of work, participants assessed the progress achieved and defined strategies for the next stages of the project. The agenda also included a visit to the IPMA’s Aquaculture Research Station (EPPO) and a boat tour through the Ria Formosa, with a stop at Culatra Island, a community recognized for its commitment to sustainability. During this visit, partners had the opportunity to learn more about the Ria Formosa and its potential for the sustainable development of the sector.
