IPMA participates in the Open Day

On 9 May, IPMA took part in the Open Day of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, welcoming around 20 visitors to the Aquaculture Research Station (EPPO).
During the initiative, awareness-raising activities aimed at the local community were carried out to highlight the importance of aquaculture for food security and environmental sustainability.
Through games and other interactive activities, participants had the opportunity to learn more about the work developed by IPMA at EPPO, as well as the main challenges and innovations currently shaping the aquaculture sector in Portugal.
This participation reinforces IPMA’s commitment to scientific outreach, the promotion of ocean literacy, and bringing science closer to the community.
