Difference between expected and observed value of daily extreme temperatures at 2 m

Notes:

1. The verification assesses the quality of the daily minimum and maximum 2 m temperatures, which are available at . The forecasts are obtained using statistical post-processing methods on direct model output.

2. The locations available cover mainland, Madeira and Azores. For each location the difference between the forecast and observed values are shown, for forecasts made 1, 4 and 7 days in advance.

3. A forecast is correct if the module of the difference between the forecast and the observation is less or equal to 2ºC. If no data is shown then no observations were available at the time.
